La Querencia Ranch

Founded in the first half of the 20th century by Torcuato Modarelli, located on the left bank of the Aluminé river at the confluence of the Kilka and Aluminé rivers, the ranch lies in the center-west of the Neuquén province of Neuquén on the Andes mountain range and 25 km from the head town of the province.

It is a typical work establishment of these latitudes nestled in the midst of the imposing mountain landscape of the transitional Andes. The area preserves the typical stamp of those Patagonian ranch that were dedicated traditionally to the breeding of Australian merino sheep and cattle.

La Querencia is located within a circuit that bypasses several lakes: Aluminé, Rucha Choroy, Quillén, Moquehue, Ñorquinco, Nonpehuen, Pilhue and Pulmarí. Distant 40 and 60 km respectively are three other wonderful lakes: Ruca Choroy, Quillén and Hui Hui.

The House

Enjoying the comforts of the Modarelli house is welcome to rest and commune with Neuquén's  imposing nature and environment.
 
The house has well-equipped facilities for a perfect stay. The ideal combination of nature, adventure and peaceful country life in this incredible corner of Argentine Patagonia.
 
The house is divided in two areas: The big house and the small house, both independent from each other but located in the same field and surrounded by a green park and lush trees that gives a perfect setting for relaxation and rest.
 
Along the 9 km of margin on the Aluminé river there are several beaches of singular beauty.

Experiencies

Aluminé forms, together with Villa Pehuenia, an exquisite natural corner of northern Patagonia, with lakes and native Araucaria forests that differs from other tourist destinations. It's the entrance to the lakes corridor on the mythical Route 40.
 
Sport fishing, fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking, cycling, rafting, kayaking, are just some of the activities that can be done in the area.

Production

In this unique rural environment, free from agro-industrial activity, La Querencia is characterized by the production of meat from natural pastures and organic honey of the highest quality.
